hug Yeah didn't do much for me the last time though considering investigating it again to see if maybe different types of acupuncture may be able to work on some of the most sensitive areas. Need to go see my lovely masseuse next week and get her to loosen up some of the muscles again Smile
Now that this injection has been tried and hasn't worked the first time, I'm going to do some more reading and see what other options might be available along that line.

And to add to it I seem to be coming down with the cold/sore throat my dads been harbouring all week! My throat feels like sandpaper and inflamed and my sinuses hurt Rolling Eyes

Ah well got to count my blessings- got a roof over my head, plenty of food to eat, clothes, clean water, heating and money to get by. I'm doing a lot better than millions; in fact billions in the world tonight. And despite my current pain and problems I thank God that I have all that and can get healthcare without paying for it or without having access to it at all.
Hazel - I'm not the twisted old ***** I've perhaps sometimes come across as, and I do have a lot of sympathy for you.  All I can say is that it might be worthwhile looking at acupuncture again, or maybe acupressure might be better in your case because the areas are so sensititve.  There are other alternatives around you could investigate as well.

Also that injection didn't work, and I'm sincerely sorry to hear that, but have you got another appointment?  Maybe a higher dosage of the drug is necessary, or maybe even in one or more places?  I think it's important the hospital get some feedback here.

Elly - MF is a teenager, in case you don't know.  I'm not excusing him by the way, but perhaps it'll help if you know where he's coming from.  We were all that age once!

Thank you Aileen Smile It's really not necessary though. She's probably right in respects.

^ So not good.

For anyone interested my daughter's African shits turned into a visit to the hospital, and she was given fluids and an injection to stop her being sick and some antibiotics and she's back at work in the Clinic.  Phew - all's well that ends well.  Can't say I'm thrilled about her being so far away, but very proud of the work she's doing.
I'm glad to know she's ok Elly! When your kids are little, you tend to worry about them all the time.....cot death......getting sick......getting bullied at school ect. and I used to think that the older mine got, the less I'd have to worry, but then I realised that you just swap one set of worries for a different set, and no matter how old they get, you never stop worrying. I'm lucky in that my kids live local! It must make it so much harder for you that your girl is so far away! Is it an ongoing thing, or do you know when she'll be back?

You must be so relieved, Elly. Good to hear, and I'm assuming she had all the required shots before she went?
I was part of a team who fundraised and were going to help build a school in Kenya a few years ago. The only thing that blocked my way was my immune system was compromised and I couldn't take the risk. My team went, and I'm glad I didn't because the photos showed all the (Kenyan) women helping while the (Kenyan) men sat watching and drinking beer. I would have been really disillusioned at that.
Sorry.. wrong thread to bring that up, but I hope the work your good-hearted daughter is doing actually means something.

Oh my gosh - I've been such a Mardy cow lately - potty mouth gone wrong - and I apologise to anyone I've offended.  Kids - as they are - don't always tell you what's going on.  Turns out my daughter is travelling out to the 'African Bush' day on day - delivering babies and HIV testing.  Water pump and bucket for a shower - but she seems to be loving it.  Now - we are talking about a girl who's biggest nightmare was living 5 miles from Top Shop.  People - even my own - never cease to amaze me!

Book a maseuss to give you massages. I know its not the same but last year I had neck and leg cramps for two days and I got a maseuss to massage the areas for about 90 minutes and the pain went.

I get massages regularly and they do ease things slightly for a little while Smile Unfortunately it only eases the muscles and can't do anything for the nerve pain.

Passed out again today- though didn't hit my head like the last twice (concussing myself once). Add to this I saw the clinical pain consultant on Tuesday and he had nothing else to offer so is sending me back to my gp with a couple of suggestions, one of which is 'refer to cardiologist'. So there is apparently nothing else on offer to help solve or reduce the pain problem and he's fobbing me back off to gp and then onto more waiting lists to see if anyone can 'maybe' come up with an answer for the black outs!

To say I'm frustrated would be an understatement, to say I'm close to just giving up and hoping I faint in the middle of the road is closer to the truth Shrug

So sorry you're going through this, Haze. And it sounds like it's been a long time too.  Frown
I wish I had a magic answer for you, but I don't.

I take it you have done your research on the internet? I say this because I've had some experience of having been mis-diagnosed. I don't carry any grudge toward my initial health-care providers because gawd knows the workload and time constraints they are under, but when it leads you down a path of Specialists who you wait an age to see, and then they send you for tests that come back negative and send you back to your doctor.. blah-blah-blah.

I was right the first time.. I just needed to tick all their required boxes.

Don't give up. hug
