Passed out again today- though didn't hit my head like the last twice (concussing myself once). Add to this I saw the clinical pain consultant on Tuesday and he had nothing else to offer so is sending me back to my gp with a couple of suggestions, one of which is 'refer to cardiologist'. So there is apparently nothing else on offer to help solve or reduce the pain problem and he's fobbing me back off to gp and then onto more waiting lists to see if anyone can 'maybe' come up with an answer for the black outs!

To say I'm frustrated would be an understatement, to say I'm close to just giving up and hoping I faint in the middle of the road is closer to the truth Shrug

Life sucks and then you die (I wish the sucking bit would be over soon)

God, I feel so bad for you, Hazel. hug
I really wish there was some immediate cure for to stop all this.

So passed out this morning, with the glass I was holding hitting the floor before me and me then landing on the broken glass Rolling Eyes Not nearly as bad as it sounds but I do have a few small cuts on my cheek. However on Monday my GP and I were in accord as to the next consultant to send me too so being referred to a neurologist who specialises in functional weakness/symptoms which seems to describe a lot of my symptoms. So we'll see what comes from that Smile Oh and I've got a tribunal date for my appeal to be allowed to keep my Employment Support Allowance, the 15/04/13.

Hazy, do you keep a diary to see if there is a pattern?    It sounds so difficult to pin down.

I hope you get some satisfaction when you see the neurologist Hazel.  It's a miracle really that so far you haven't caused yourself any serious injury with these falls.

I also wish you success with your appeal to the tribunal as I know from experience just how hard facing these people can be - and that was before the government decided to tighten things up.

Please do.  I'm very glad that you're already getting a lot of love and support, but sometimes letting off steam elsewhere is necessary.

Also you mind find contacting this organisation helpful - http://www.maggiescentres.org/about/what_is_maggies.html - and if there isn't a Maggie's Centre near you they do have a website you can chat to people on.  I'm lucky not to have needed this help but I know people who have and they and their families and friends have found it a great benefit.

Hi, many sympathies - having had years of constant pain I am aware of just how draining it can be.  When I was battling with ill health retirement and subsequently the cretins at the DWP, I used an IPod/I phone app called My Pain Diary to log all of my pain on a daily basis. You can then print off quite comprehensive reports of location of pain and difficulties it caused me ie gripping, feeling sick etc. For my ESA appeal (they backed down before the actual tribunal), I got supporting evidence from every one of my many consultants, also photos off all the kit I use.  With regard to the pain have you tried a TENS machine, it helped a bit when my arthritis was/is particularly foul. Also might be a long shot, but have you looked up the symptoms of Fibromyalgia - that has a multitude of peculiar and severe symptoms. You can have it along with other things, so it can confuse diagnosis a bit.  I have got lots of reports I wrote with regard to my judgement of why I wasn't capable of coping with work any longer. If it would be any use please let me know. Keep battling I believe they usually see sense in the end.
