And how many people working for the newspaper that had no part in what happened are now out of a job?

Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

Surely this scandal must put an end to Murdoch's take-over of BSkyB? He's got no credibility left. And two days ago I signed a petition addressed to Cameron protesting about this bid which already had 70,000 signatures on it.
Cameron's so totally up to the neck in sh*t here that I don't expect it'll do his credibility any good either. Quite frankly I think he's a disgrace to this country, and a man whose judgement is so questionable clearly isn't capable of running it.
As for the Sun on Sunday - don't make me laugh ... it'll simply be the NotW under a different name, publishing the same sleazy crap.

And they're still defending RB
as it's been pointed out in the news, this solves the financial issue for Murdoch but very few who were employed and implied of being ivolved in this are still at the paper and as suck he's sacking a bunch of innocent employees. Looking forward to the various unfair dismissal claims are going to be put in by them

Can't believe he hasn't openly called for Brooks' resignation. It reflects badly on him. Surely he doesn't still want to be her 'friend'? What kind of friends does he want?
On another note, The NotW has propped The Times up for years. Is this the end for that, too? Hope so. It's increasingly badly written and badly researched - and they expect us to fork out for it online.
