I've seen this idea on another site and thought it might be quite fun to do here as well  goodjob  

Basically it's a "poster" tournament. Anyone that wants to can enter by replying to this message. Then when we've got enough people I'll produce a first round "draw" and you each have to vote for one person in each match. And we go through the tournament until we have a winner.

We need at least 8 people to do this, but if there's enough interest then I could do a draw with 16 people.

So I'm the first "player" to enter - Tennis-Player (Dan)

I don't think I've explained that very well, but hopefully you get pretty much what I mean Smile

hehe. this was off the bbc website. ive read it and it lasted for ages! ill join if there's a space but if not dont worry about it.

I would like to enter too, but what do we need to do? I don't really get the point and like Josh said, what do you vote on?
But I think it's a good idea.

Right thought I didn't explain it very well... I'll have another go Smile

Basically I'll make up a first round "draw" of all the entrants. If there's 8 people in the tournament then there'll be 4 matches. With me so far?

Then everybody gets to cast 2 votes for a person in each match. Yes it's kind of a popularity contest, but it's just a bit of fun Smile Each vote counts for 1 game, and when someone has 6 votes then they win the match. So lets say Mark plays John W and Mark gets 6 votes, and John W gets 4, then Mark wins the match 6-4. If we get to a "tie-break" situation then everyone can vote again.

The one on the BBC website was the first to 2 sets, but I can't be bothered with that Smile

Hope that's a bit clearer?
