Embarassed  I am the worlds' biggest fan of Leonard Cohen. I've seen him live twice.

At Uni we spent hours dissecting his lyrics!  :P   Rolling Eyes (Music to commit suicide to, we used to call it.)

But I am a real folk music nut. Joan Baez etc.

Has anyone ever heard of Jeff Buckley? Another of my all time favs.

Ah, Jeff Buckley. Superb. Grace is possibly one of the best albums of all time. Smile

Neil Young (and indeed Crosby/Stills/Nash/Young) is good, I haven't got nearly as much of his stuff as I'd like though. Rolling Eyes

Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake...well you've got yourself a lovely music taste there!!  wink
two legends of those years - and they'll most definitly go down in history!

i love the Beatles too! seems like we've got a bit of a fan club growing here....
i think their possibly the greatest band that we'll ever get (apart from The Smiths of course!)  wink
"I say high, you say low , You say why, and I say I don't know ,Oh, no , You say goodbye and I say hello..."
never miss out on singing that in the shower!  Very Happy

I may not be a spring chicken, but I just knew all MurrayWorld members have exquisite taste. Age has nothing to do with it. Now, I'd better check out some of these new "chunes" y'all on about. I have been sold on The Stone Roses, James and Coldplay in the last couple of years, so who knows.

Actually, I'm amazed you all know the sheer brilliance of Jeff Buckley. Lilac Wine, Hallelujah, Grace...*swoon*

I love Kylie Minogue, but her duet with Nic Cave was absolute perfection.

So dark. The video was amazing.

I think Michael Stipe might be a bit offended to find out that he's in his 60's when he's actually only in his 40's! duh

It looks like we all have a wide and wonderful range of music tastes, I like Anthony and the Johnsons, Status Quo, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Bette Midler, Barry Manilow, Elton John, Black Sabbath, Mario Lanza to name but a few.  And as for Christmas stuff who can beat Bing Crosby?
