:supz: *is so jealous* must have been a fantastic gig at the stadium!! ive never seen snow patrol live, but i can just imagine...Run..being played to the loudest and all the million of people going barmy!  woohoo coorhh, when i saw U2 live - now that was something to remember for the rest of my life - their first song that they played - 'city of blinding lights' (not my fav)...but it was amazing, and as for the rest of the concert, well speachless!  Very Happy

seems that John isn't a phonics fan?! well...erm Dakota - one of their new songs is one of the very very few that i think is worth listening to...
otherwise im not the greatest fan - but Maybe Tomoro is just amazing, so im not gonna take that away from, Kelly and co.

i suppose im more into the old type of music....being born in 1990's i didn't really experince the whole 80's craze like some people here might have - when i was 'little' (compared to now....) there were the back street boys and spice girl crazes *vomits*
...me - always a Smith fan, and grew up listening to The Doors and The Beatles, so at my age people find it a bit weird that i like REM etc  Rolling Eyes

The Mexicolas - am taking they're a good band?!  Rolling Eyes any songs you might want to recomend John?!

these sort of little bands usually start of small then become big...
like The Arctic Monkeys (no they are not monkeys from the arctic like some of my mad friends.... Rolling Eyes ) ...anyway they started playing at The Electric Ballroom (small local venue - but nationally known) about 2 years ago and they've turned out to be quite famous...anyone know them?!  Rolling Eyes

my phonics fav is probably mr writer, its groovy baby! Very Happy

U2 must have been AMAZING julia - they're such a stadium band! i'm so jealous Very Happy but the spice girls were damn cool. damn cool. they were totally my era....lol i sound so old!

as for my 5 desert island discs.....

3. Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway....possibly....or coldplay...anything by coldplay

Generally I am 16, but I can age a couple of years at a moments notice when folks want to go out for a drink... I do enjoy a nice pint now and again. :twisted:

As for that particular evening, I had already had some earlier and if I'd consumed more alcohol we'd have got lost rather than got home... I was doing directions. Rolling Eyes

shocking! you don't get asked for i.d.? lucky guy! although it has to be said that actually having i.d takes some of the fun out of going out....

honestly, i barely drink at all....but getting into pubs and bars and places was always much more of an achievement when i didnt have i.d.  8)

haha...well me being a mere 14  Rolling Eyes ...my visits to the pub always stop at the doorway so that's about as close as i get to the Bull and Gate, although i walk past it everyday (not looking for bear  wink ...to get to the bus...)

so erm, you guys aren't drinkers then?  2 man down good for you! closest i ever get to trying to fake my age is getting into a 15 or 18 movie...or trying to get on the bus for free by saying im 12 (hopless!!)  Frown

John what did you think of the place since you went there?
...and i don't suppose you stopped of at camden town/kentish town to see the shops there!? im in love with that place!!....although i took my russian cousins there last summer and i think i totally put them of London, because of camden!  Rolling Eyes i suppose you'll know when you visit..... Very Happy

I don't go out to get drunk anyway... what's the point in that?

As for Kentish Town... we discoverd that every single sidestreet and back road is resident's parking only, except for two with absolute rip-off meters.

We walked right down Kentish Town road almost as far as Camden... I can't say I liked it especially. Rolling Eyes It was very similar to some parts of Birmingham. We found a good stationers on that road... we'd made some flyers for the gig, but they were 4 to a page, and we needed to cut them up. They only charged us £2 to use their guillotine. Smile Used an internet cafe there as well... it was OK. I can see why it would put people off London though wink

Mohair gig last night was good, you want to hear about that? Rock ya
