New phone? « on: July 05, 2006, 08:16 PM »

My mobile is showing its age... not working quite as it should, and it's pretty battered these days... had it since May last year though!

One of these, if you're interested. Wink

Anyways, time I got a new phone. Any suggestions folks? Smile

I guess a lot of people will be saying Nokia...

But there is nothing better than a Samsung - with none other than Orange! Wink

This is my phone at the moment... Click here.

Not bad. Has a good camera.. I don't really like or know a lot about all those expensive phones on the market because personally im satisfied with anything that works and texts! Wink

Something like this i wouldn't mind: Click here. Although i don't really know much about phones... Rolling Eyes

Are you looking for contract and what sort of design?

Looks similar to a Siemens phone.   Don't go for Motorola!  Can't go wrong with a Nokia.

I don't particularly favour Nokia over other manufacturers. Wink

Might get it off eBay, 'cos I don't want to spend too much.

I'm on 02 PAYG, gonna stick with that... just put my current SIM in my new phone. (Hopefully won't have to get one from another network and unlock it... such a pain to get internet or MMS to work if you do...)

Not sure what design yet... been a while since I looked at phones really... thought I'd see what people on here have first.

Something that has a media player and takes memory cards would be good... I use my phone quite a lot as an MP3 player... though it's failing on that too, my handsfree/headphones are dying.

P.S. Anyone who recommends the Samsung D400i gets fished, 'cos it's crap!

When you've finished with it, can I have it for my useless technology collection? lol I've got stuff like a 486SX, a Pentium II, a Gravis PC gamepad, a Nokia 3510i and a 8088 'PC' in my collection already! woohoo

I have a Samsung D500 which I really like but it's very similar to the D400 obviously.

Definately Erricson. Although the joysticks do have a tendancy of going they are the best cameras.
