The Everly Brothers singing  and playing duo were my early favourites in the rock mode. Many subsequent artists follow their style of performing. They were my wife's favourites.

Caz, Aileen you have just about revealed your decades.

Well........I've never gone out of my way to hide it OSS and I was only 9 or ten when they appeared on the scene! I'm still quite young really!  icon_angel_not Very Happy

Sad to hear about Phil Everly. My mum and dad played their music a lot, and their harmonies were immpecable.

Wasn't Barbara Ann a Beach Boys song? (their harmonies also flawless.)

The Everly Bros did Barbara Allen.

I've never hidden my age either - after all it's only a number!  But I can reveal that Phil Everly was 4 years my senior.  A mere spring chicken me really! Whistle

Very nice tribute in The Telegraph - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/rockandpopmusic/10550667/The-Everly-Brothers-Two-voices-in-seamless-harmony-whose-musical-influence-was-immeasurable.htmlg

One day when you become more experienced with life, you will learn NOT to reveal a woman's age even though she does not mind. You have to tread carefully so as not to upset the person.

In fact you got the age wrong. Aileen, herself corrected you.
