Awww........what a hero! I've always liked him, but now I like him more! Anyone who'd put themselves in danger to save a poor wee dog, is number one in my opinion!  wub

A lovely story, but sadly, if you look at the story now, it seems it wasn't true.

So how many more signatures does the petition need?  Unfortunately I've run out of people to ask to sign it.  Maybe I could invent a few!

Please Aileen.....anything..... have just emailed an architect I know! Not a personal friend either. He'll be surprised. Even thought of printing the link and posting it through people's doors! Just emailed my MP and Ed Milliband too!
Also, don't know if you, or anyone else, but think folk probably do, post on newspaper sites, but these's a big story going round at the mo. about police being really poor about dealing with domestic violence. Well, of course domestic violence impacts on children, so it's possible to shoehorn details of the petition in there. Just did on The Guardian web site. Am very tempted to sign on to  Daily Mail Rolling Eyes Anywhere.
Less than 2,000 it looks like.

@bbh.    I thought I had done all my friends but I had forgotten about one of my neighbours who has a big family and a large circle of friends.    I'll check tomorrow that she has done it.

That was reported on the BBC's 10pm news tonight and applies only to the police in England and Wales since Scotland has its own legal and justice system, so the Scottish Government can legislate on police matters, and it seems that the police in Scotland are much more efficient when it comes to dealing with domestic violence and suspected child abuse.  Also there's a better flow of information between social services, doctors, teachers, etc, something there isn't south of the border.

Unfortunately I've lost the link you gave me, so could you please let me have it again and I'll see what I can do.  For a start, I will ask if it could be put up in the waiting room at my GP's surgery, and at the local chemist.
