Here you go Connor:

Karen was lovely, and pretty funny in her Q&A session. She knows her Doctor Who too as people asked about things and she knew the exact episode and series, and knows a lot about the classic stuff too as her Mum was a big fan and she had grown up with it. One funny moment when a woman from the audience ran up to the stage and shot a nerf gun at her and it turned out it was her Mum getting her back for various pranks on this tour.

The guy standing behind the dalek was following it and talking into something so I figured he was controlling it somehow by voice, but then later I saw a guy get out of it. So there actually was someone in it and I guess the other guy was giving him instructions about where and when to move since the guy inside wouldn't have been able to see outside.

Karen's always seemed so genuine to me. Seems like a good laugh as well, or that could just have been with how much she clicked with Matt in the 2 years they worked together.

Appears her Father was there too so her parents must have jumped at the opportunity to join her on this trip to places they had never been. She definitely got on well with Matt. She described him and Arthur as her best friends and becoming the brothers she never had. Someone asked about whether she was sad filming her goodbye scene and she said there was no acting, all the tears were real and everyone was really sad. And being a cemetery made it even more sad. Said she later found Matt sitting on a gravestone on his own listening to Close to You by The Carpenters.

Someone else asked about whether Moffat asks their permission to make fun of them about things (ie, her red hair, Matt's chin, Arthur's nose) and she said definitely not, he just writes them. They found the joke about Arthur's nose really funny because the first they had heard of it was on a table read through of the script.

They had a few different photos you could get signed and I chose this one. My dream now is that one day Matt Smith comes for one of these events and I can get him to sign it too.

Also the host of the Q&A session took a selfie and tweeted it and I made it into the background, although pretty blurred:

The thing she is holding is a gift someone in the audience made for her. It's supposed to be her in a Kiwi onesie. They will start announcing guests for the Auckland event this week (it's not until October) - they usually do it after each one finishes so they don't take any hype away from the immediate event. Have never been to the Auckland one before but I regret not going up to see Jenna Coleman last year. May go this year depending on guests.

Thats the Asylum of the Daleks Series 7 promo picture. One of my favourite promos.

I so desperately wanted to go to the London one in November, but I couldn't afford everything. I hope you have better luck.

Thanks. Good thing about Auckland is free accommodation with my partner's parents or my brother so it's never too big a deal to go up for anything like this, although flights can add up if there's a few things booked around a similar time! If we had to pay out for hotels too we wouldn't go to as much as we do.

Tickets for the evening with Capaldi booked. No meet and greet option unfortunately so probably won't get a chance to meet him.

Am really enjoying "True Detective 2."  Not quite such a complex narrative structure as 1, but highly entertaining  none the less. Colin Farrell is ab fab. but the other 3 leads are pretty good too.
