If enough people manage to catch it from direct contact with birds, then yes, I would imagine its pretty likely.

Well yes...but the virus might mutate into a form thats resistant to antibiotics.
This is why theres debates about stock piling antibiotics - a. Have the gov got enough? b. Will it be effective? c. How long before the virus mutates again? d. Who do you vacinate?

Republican Clashes In Dublin City Centre

There have also been two bomb scares. RTE the Irish television station and a Dublin radio station recieved a call claiming that there were bombs placed in two city centre locations.

Scary stuff! no

I think so...the animal rights guys were somewhat outnumbered by the student pro-test protest (see the punning) though!
Luckily no violence as yet.
