Did you see last Government wasted 430 million on new large regional fire stations that now lie empty! Yes, 430 million.
I think we should make these people accountable in court. Only then, perhaps they'd stop wasting OUR money in this appalling way

The guy has quite correctly been released on police bail.
That's good news OSS!

This is unbelievable. Police hem in a few peaceful protesters so they cannot move and then a senior officer, Anthony Bologna, pepper sprays them all.

Oh, say! can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming;
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there:
Oh, say! does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the
land of the free
and the home of the brave?
I don't think so.

I know that police face difficult situations at times and some people you could slap yourself but it's a bit off in this case.

WHAT A FANTASTIC MOVE
Denmark taxes fatty products
But hopefully they tax foods based on the result to the body, not by the amount of fat as fat in itself isn't the main issue.

Amanda Knox and ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito have been cleared of killing UK student Meredith Kercher following a successful appeal in Perugia, Italy.

Don't know a lot about this case but wondered if this latest chapter in the terrible murder of Meredith is a good thing or bad?
Was the evidence flawed, as has been reported now? I thought that Amanda Knox had pointed the finger at someone else and then changed her mind?

Fat content I think, which as you say, is not the main issue

I think Amanda Knox has changed her story so many times that even she doesn't know what is true. I admit I've found this case very disturbing. I think poor Meredith has been forgotten in the drama that has surrounded Knox. The media obsession with her looks. Labelling her 'Foxy' Knoxy has been obscene.
I think the failure of the Italian police to properly secure a crime scene has ensured that we will never know what happened to Meredith.
I've found the outpouring of joy on media outlets extremely distasteful. A girl is still dead.
My heart goes out to Meredith and her family.

It certainly makes more sense to me that a known burglar is responsible for the death than someone like Knox who seemed fairly normal.
There are few things worse than going to prison for a murder you didn't commit. I'm very pleased if she is indeed innocent and has now escaped a tragic sentence.
Yes, we must remember someone is still dead. But essentially another death has been avoided - being in prison all your life, is not a life.
