Regarding the line between the rich and poor, I heard on the news yesterday that in California, there are waitlists to get a spot in a parking lot so people can live in their cars!. Apparently there are no longer only trailer parks, wherein people live in mobile homes. Now there are car parks, wherein people live in their vehicles (cars, trucks, RVs, etc). Meanwhile, the rich are just fine and dandy. This is all due to the Wall Street crash and housing crisis of a few years ago. Unfortunately, too, many people might blame Obama, when in fact he's just been trying to clean up the mess he inherited when he came in to office. God forbid if they elect Romney in...and he's apparently ahead in the polls. Frown

I don't think it's nearly as bad in Canada, thankfully.  pray

She may well have 'horrible spelling and sentence structure' but she has a very good heart which is a lot more than can be said for some people on here!

Not only is this a welcome decision in McKinnon's case, given that he has serious mental health issues, but it will see the end of the questionable 2003 Blair/Bush extradition deal and the reform of the law regarding extradition in general -

Mrs May also said measures would be taken to enable a UK court to decide whether a person should stand trial in the UK or abroad - a so-called forum bar.

It would be designed to ensure extradition cases did not fall foul of "delays and satellite litigation", she said.

"I believe extradition decisions must not only be fair, they must be seen to be fair. And they must be made in open court where decisions can be challenged and explained," she said.

"That is why I have decided to introduce a forum bar. This will mean that where prosecution is possible in both the UK and in another state, the British courts will be able to bar prosecution overseas if they believe it is in the interests of justice to do so."
