No one is saying we have a right to know but it just so happens these additional details of her suicide are a big story here. There is no rational reason to be hostile towards someone who is simply letting us know about this story.
Thank you Mark, I appreciate that.
I posted the information as a statement of fact, without adding any opinion or comment quite deliberately, because it wasn't necessary. I have to say that I didn't appreciate getting the internet equivalent of my head bitten off for my trouble.

Veronica likes to pounce on someone with an aggressive sarcastic comment at least once a month. It's usually me so thanks for taking it for the team

I believe the family is demanding a full and thorough investigation so I am sure they know what they are getting into.

If you think that's getting your head bitten off, you're oversensitive.

I absolutely agree. The circumstances of sudden death are very important in getting at the truth. Suicides are particularly important. When will we ever learn the truth of the Dr Kelly "suicide" for example?

You don't need to know the details.
A simple, 'We have confirmed that it was indeed, a suicide" would have sufficed.
That's a general you, before I get someone else accusing me of biting their head off.

Basically, this is just the same **** that got us into this mess.
The public feels that they are owed personal details like that. Just like they felt that they absolutely NEEDED to know the details of Kate's pregnancy, and all that other ****.
I'm just merely pointing out that the idea that we have a right to personal details when they are in fact, irrelevant is part of the issue at hand here.

As Fiverings was pointing out, the Dr Kelly case is a perfect example of where the authorities telling the public it's a suicide is simply not enough. Sometimes knowing the details can put the mind at rest and sometimes, like with Dr Kelly, it can leave you feeling skeptical.

I don't know where you get this idea from. Just because the media try their best to get the details because the public find a story interesting does not mean the public feel entitled to those details.
