I'm in between. There were undoutably many bad things about her, but she was one of our most notorious leaders. She did help this country economically. She got herself involved in too many scraps though.

Economically you must be joking. She closed many of the heavy industries and sold off the utilities, rail, water, transport and many others the money going to the state. Look at all those businesses now. They are corrupt and charge people a fortune to use them. They payed the government a very low price and see how much they charge the public to use them now. That is why the conservatives have only one Westminster seat in Scotland. That is why you reap what you sow.

She wasted all the money from oil boom to further Tory ideology.   Instead of doing what Norway did and investing it for the benefit of the country she funded unemployment with it in order to beat the unions.

http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/labor/news/2013/04/09/59698/the-gender-wage-gap-differs-by-occupation/

Of the 534 occupations listed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, women earn more than men in exactly seven professions. Together, these seven occupations account for about 1.5 million working women, or about 3 percent of the full-time female labor force. The remaining 97 percent of full-time working women work in occupations where they earn less than their male counterparts.

Iran, in the meantime, sees a major earthquake.

Iran has been struck by its most powerful earthquake for nearly 40 years, with tremors felt across Pakistan, India and the Middle East.

The epicentre of the 7.8 magnitude quake was near the south-east city of Khash, close to the Pakistani border, the US Geological Survey said.

Iranian state TV has reported at least 40 people killed.

At least five people died in Pakistan, near the border with Iran, hospital and local government officials said.

Horrible.

There's also more bombings in Iraq today. Wish that was more of a surprise to me. At least 31 killed and 200 wounded.
