What laptop is it? I'm on the hunt this week for a new lappy, really want 15 widescreen over normal 15", makes such a huge different IMO Think

Still haven't decided whether I want a gaming laptop or just a normal one.

Mines a normal one defo. Very fast for everything bar games.

Acer Aspire 3613WLMi

Usual stuff 1.5Ghz celeron, 40Gb dual HD, DVD re-writer, wireless enabled erm, 512MB DDR2 Ram. Was about £500ish a year ago.

It's hard to get parts for though (in my case a replacement power supply) as it's not teh most common model ever. But I have no complaints with acer. My old flatmate had a prior version with higehr spec but was much heavier, this on is reasonably light and mobile. If u like ur music though, speakers only go so far on it, would suggets buying seperate ones. Built in mic though which is handy. Erm, lots of acer crap on it i have never used, but always there if u fancy trying it out (media centre softawre and such like)

That's about it? Anything else?

Edit: and yes, the widescreen is immense. DVD's are damn good on it, bar the sound. It's also very very quiet. Makes no noise whatsoever bar a brief whire of the fans once every 3 hours or so. Battery life is **** though. Like less than an hour. BUt i think that;s the same for most laptops?  Think confused

Hmmm Acer are nice, it's probably going to be Acer or Fujitsu  Think

And why use speakers on a laptop?... what's wrong with a good pair of headphones? Smile

Well yes. If u wanna share ur music maybe....or indeed don't like headphones. I would rather buy a pair of external speakers. But then again, I have my car to listen to music in and the speakers in that are just fine Very Happy

I hate using speakers because obvously I don't want everyone nearby hearing what I'm listening to Think

I don't care what people think. Only use headphones have are if it;s in the library. Other than that i'll put it on wherever. Mind u, don;t get the laptop out as much.

I have a fujitsu PC that;s 4 years old i think. Was top of the range at the time, but it;s soooo slow now. lol. It;s a shambles!

I have this wonderful thing called 'consideration' especially as it seems most people don't tend to appreciate the music I like Very Happy
