As regards the Pope, or head of any religion.  Why not wear tracky bottoms and have a good yap about stuff?  But no - we are not worthy....
I heard he actually did a little bit of that the other day. He slipped out of the side door of the Vatican, to mingle with the people in the street. His security were going mental!  w00t Not sure if he was wearing tracky bottoms though!  Whistle

I thought the Pope had already said he wanted to make the church "less rich", so can we assume from that that over the next year or so he'll be flogging off the Vatican's treasures and emptying it's rich coffers, and that, by doing so, he will enable the poor, who he has vowed to help, to transform their lives?  Pigs might fly.  Even if he wanted to do such a thing I doubt he would be allowed to anyway by other influential forces in the church.
He'd go the same way as Pope John Paul I, who died after just 33 days.  Very strange, I thought at the time.

I looked for a mooning emoticon, but no luck.  I hate religion.  It is uppermost in many wars.  How about everyone just does their best?

Why would I not like that?  It's a heartwarming victory to gain your approval, Robbie, although the swing of the pendulum is always to be expected.  Just like a woman, in fact!

Pope John before John Paul I like that guy he seemed a really nice man but died very early after his election. I thought it was a bit fishy he wanted to have a lot of reforms in the Catholic church.

Although I'm not religious and extremely dubious about some elements of the Catholic faith I will watch this new Pontificate with interest. He comes from a Jesuit background of poverty and deprivation and how he interprets this as Pope will be very interesting
I'd forgotten about the fact that he's a Jesuit, so it's really quite interesting that he was elected in the first place - the first Jesuit Pope.
