Generally speaking, it's the wee ones that are often the trouble makers. Large dogs are usually as couthy as they come. Big gentle suckies.
Glad you get it. x
I suspect they're a bit like humans and any size or shape can make trouble if that's their nature.  Shrug

My grown-up son has a beagle. We've got him for the weekend. He's in the paper bins, he's crying all the time, he shat on the bedroom floor, he wolfs the cats' food like a beast. Can somebody tell me what the attraction is?

I fear your son's beagle is as pleased to be staying with you as you are to have him
All the fuss is his protest at being left behind  Also has he met cats before?

Oh, he's friendly towards our cats. But the cats want to remove his eyes.

Beagles follow their nose because of their breed (tracking scents for hunting), so don't leave anything around for temptation. He's also going through separation anxiety in a somewhat hostile environment.

Speaking of which.. a couple of weekends ago, we were all packed up ready to go for our final camping weekend for Thanksgiving.
So I comes home to find Brucie-Boy had found an unopened, wrapped and bagged box of dark chocolate covered brandy liquiers. OMG!!

Rushed him to the vet, who gave him an injection to make him vomit and diarrea.
He's fine.. but needless to say it was a fun time for the first day. I was constantly following him with rubber gloves and cleaning supplies around the trailer.

Here he is caught in the act.. and the next day having fun splashing around.

I bet he was sloshed on the brandy. Smoking a cigar with sunglasses on on the sofa. Living the high doggy life.

Love the pics  illustrating so clearly that a dog has a short memory and owners must forgive their sins and keep training ,training and training
