Baby bear becomes media star

"We want Knut, he's so sweet!" shouted a group of children, who were visiting Berlin's Zoo.

The children had seen pictures of Knut on television, and they rushed here on Friday to catch a glimpse of the tiny polar bear. After all, this was a historic moment for the polar bear cub.

Amid all the media hype, here he was, a fluffy white ball, emerging for his first walk under the public gaze.

"I think he's lovely and cuddly, he's so adorable," said Cynthia, 14.

Gamer in a nappy gets tournament shut down
A 16 YEAR-OLD GAMER who was determined to stay the distance in an underground video game tournament managed to get the event shut down after turning up in a nappy.

According to funtechtalk.com the competition, of some 60 gamers, in Fort Collins, U,S and A ground to a halt after the 16 year-old drank five cans of a caffeine loaded drink called a Spike Shooter.

Much to his surprise his nappy back-up failed and other gamers demanded his removal.

Mightily miffed, he called the local coppers to complain that his ejection was wrong, not realising that the event itself was what the police called an "illegal paid gathering".

This put all his mates in the doo-doo too, as Inspector Knacker of the Fort Collins Yard swooped, fined the organisers and shut down the event. It is not clear if the party pooper was also arrested.
