Haha my days post uni are basically

work - job hunt - internet - ocasionally go to a football match, movie or gig!

My post uni days will be spent: work, work, work, FESITVALS, work, work, work, SHOPPING.

This is a guess but since I'm going to be a nurse I will be working heaps and since I will have money to spend, shopping and Festivals... Very Happy

I gave up alcohol for Lent last year and then found myself rather uninterested in drinking again.   I haven't had a drink since July now, which is weird because I really love red wine and I still like looking at it in supermarkets...

What are peoples thought on underage drinkers going round town in pubs and clubs and getting away with it?

My ex who is 21 is seeing a 16 year old and I saw them on Friday night in three different pubs/clubs even after I ratted her out to one of the clubs who said they'd pass her picture onto "pub watch".  Course I've done this out of spite coz he was a dick to me and needs punishment, but I'm really annoyed this plan didn't work.  Bouncers are ****!!

Do you expect people at the door to constantly check every person against a photo of this girl? Yeah right.

Pubs/clubs probably thought you were being nasty by trying to get her banned, wouldn't surprise me if they ignored you.

They'd be daft too.  The law is seriously cracking down on binge drinking and underage drinkers.  If they serve an understand they could get a massive fine or loose their license.  I hardly think they wouldn't take it seriously.

It's not practical for them to take action based on a photos given to them, so I doubt they would be punished for not using what you gave them.

I never gave them a photo.  The pubs in question have took pictures of her themselves.  Places do these keyring things now so they go round asking people for pics.  The one place I told had her as a friend on facebook (how I saw the pics) and her DOB was on there saying 1993 (which she has since deleted) and the club removed her as a friend.

So there is proof that she has been in there and drinking (yes, pictured holding an alcoholic beverage).

OK but my point remains regardless of who took the photos or own the photos.

They don't have to put their pic up in a window or something.  Its the job of a bouncer to remember faces.

And there was me thinking anyone could be a bouncer, seems you'd have to have quite a good memory to remember specific faces out of hundreds you see day to day.

Some bouncers remember me.  Also what about the guys who get barred??  Whats the point of barring them if they can just simply walk in again.  Trust me Mark, I am a person who goes out every weekend.

And don't forget.  Bouncers are required to ask for ID for anyone who looks young.  They shouldn't have to use photographs.  I get IDed enough.  I even had a pop at one bouncer who IDed me every week and he hasn't IDed me since! lol

In Glasgow every single person going to a club gets ID'd, my flatmate who is 23 gets ID all the time! I'd never experienced it until coming here - Sunderland is such a leniant place on ID's.

If the government wants to crack down on underage drinkers the bouncers should be asking more.  I wouldn't mind if she looked older but she doesn't!  She looks 12!
