We probably don't want anything extreme, right?
What is truly making me happy right now is the fact that we are heading for a long weekend! And it's Friday already - double delight!!
Hope you have a **** weekend lol! Please see Murrays ranking thread for further information

Robbie I was commenting about the lack of reservoirs. England gets plenty rain so I cannot understand why there is a water shortage.

I can just imagine it, Tom - but you wanted it so ...
One thing that really cheers me up is seeing the crocuses out in parks and gardens. I love seeing all that colour after the barrenness of winter.
I agree Aileen and the snowdrops are beautiful around here - really abundant. Dartmoor is so beautiful after rain (yes, there's been enough of it) everything was so clear yesterday as we came across in the sunshine and soon there will be wild daffodils in certain areas and the peregrines will begin their nesting in secret places we are lucky enough to know.

That sounds heavenly Jan. You really are lucky to be living there.

I'm no expert but I think its mostly down to the infrastructure and geology -i.e water leakage, run-off from built up areas & roads being sewered to the sea, porous geology locking moisture - plus of course high domestic and agricultural consumption per cap compared to hard rock low pop Celtic fringes!

I seem to recall a Met spokesman saying something along the same lines on TV about the water leakage. Whilst nobody can do much about the geological factors, surely in this day and age something can be done to stop that from happening?

What is truly making me happy right now, is that my wee girlie is doing her thing in Africa, and hasn't contracted Malaria, is able to get on Skype now and then, albeit with a goat and hen at her door - and seems to be enjoying herself!

Cheers, Aileen. I'm hoping to go out next month, but flights are really expensive - and I have to get 'injections' to go! I'm a bad mother!
