Steve Coogan wins for 'Philomena' - Fab, great movie that highlights the awful things that were done to women and children in the name of 'religion'.

Just saw Winter Tale....Colin Farrell was really good never seen him on screen before.

Downeton Abbey fans will love Sybil in this.

i reclon  it will go down as a" chic flic" but there were plenty of guys for this performance.

Colin Farrell was quite good in Saving Mr Banks too. I don't think I've ever seen him play a role using his actual accent. I remember being quite shocked years ago seeing him interviewed and sounding Irish. lol

Just seen "The Monuments Men". It was good-though I didn't expect it to be so sad in parts!

I'm SO excited to see it when it comes out here-though it's being called "A New York Winter's Tale" here, for some reason!

No I haven't actually seen In Bruges, but I remember actually being in Bruges in 2009 and having things from the film pointed out to me like the clock tower and them not meaning anything to me. lol

No, I haven't BBH.  I'm never sure if it's better to have read a book before you see the film or not.  I suspect not, as if you haven't read the book, you have no 'pictures' in your head and it comes at you fresh, so to speak.

I agree. The film had a poor review on "Front Row" and because I loved the book so much, I've avoided the film.

I did read a little today that said the film was a bit idealistic and sugar coats a lot of the War it portrays.  That'll suit me!  Very Happy
