Yeah, but that is So British of you. Yes, it's the one with Emily Blunt. lol. See, I'd say it's the one with Amy Adams since she's in the lead role. Ha ha
Thanks for Take This Waltz. I've read good reviews about it. Seth Rogan is definitely doing well on big screen lately.
I am planning to see The Master this weekend.

The Edge I recommend highly if you haven't seen it already. It's a movie from the 90s after all but worth seeing time and again. Superbly directed by Lee Tamahori and very well written by David Mamet. And Anthony Hopkins at his best.

Went to see 'Taken 2' and 'Alex Cross' at the weekend.
Taken was ok.
I've read all the Cross books, and was really interested in seeing the movie. I now see it's had mixed reviews.
I personally really enjoyed it. Definitely not true to the 1st book as far as storyline, but the characters more than met my expectations.

Saw Taken 2 as well last weekend and although it's watchable, I didn't think it was a patch on the first one. The simplicity of the original - a side-lined father has to listen as his daughter is kidnapped on the other end of the phone and then slaughters all in his way in order to rescue her in time - was what made it work so well. Taken 2 was a bit too convoluted and I just failed to give a toss about his ex-wife's predicament. It was a cashing-in exercise but I can't blame them.

^Agreed. The first one was great. This one was a cash-in cow. Without giving the ending away, I can see them coming up with a Taken 3.
You going to see Alex Cross? I really liked it.
I never read reviews beforehand because I want it to be new to me, and have my own experience.
I'm like that with books too.

Not familiar with Alex Cross, what's it about?
Yeah, there'll be a Taken 3 - there was a huge giveaway in what the big baddie said at the end!
Can't blame them I suppose, it's a licence to print money, much like the Saw and Paranormal Activity franchises.

I don't want to give anything away.
Cross is a Detroit homicide detective/profiler.
It has a serial killer..action...love...heartache...suspense...re
venge, and for me the best part: believable characters.
Just go see it and tell me what you think.
My hubbster didn't know anything about the books and he loved it.

There's a place for those films, but they don't often work.
