^ They just could have done it in one movie, rather than spreading it over two, but where would be the
ka-ching! ka-ching!
in that?
You will love it, Zarfeen. Just as I love to drool over Daniel Craig.
I'm sure gonna love Robert in the movie no matter how pathetic it is

When I was your age Zarfeen, Rob would have been too much of a pretty boy for me! I'd have preferred Jacob! Ruff!
I like them both Caz!
But, you know what, I feel Robert is just jaw droppingly GORGEOUS!!!!
Jacob is the manly and the muscles, six pack and abs kind but I would go for a pretty face than that actually

Saw a few movies this weekend. I never read reviews. This is pure me.
The Guilt Trip:
This may be me and my son in the next decade
Funny and very touching in parts.
This is 40:
Jack Reacher
:
Apart from the sexy car chase the rest was
But, to be fair, ever since KatieGate, Tommy only cuts B-movies for me.
Les Miserables:
Saved the best for last.
Russell Crowe: Should stick to his day job of magnificient acting instead of singing.
Hugh Jackman: Excellent job. So powerful in the beginning and the end.
Standouts for me:
Samantha Banks as Eponinie.. Wow!
Eddie Redmayne as Marius.. Wow!
But my ultimate standout was Anne Hathaway. A small part but so, so powerful....

Saw 'The Life of Pi' at the weekend. One of my favourite books ever and the movie does not disappoint. Thoroughly recommend it.

I loved it too!! The best part is that the boy, Suraj Sharma is a very good friend of mine and the girl Shravanthi is in my school

Finally saw The Hobbit this afternoon in high frame rate. Thought it was absolutely fantastic. Can't understand any of the negative comments. It did not drag on at all, I felt there was enough happening that there was never any point to feel bored. Perhaps the fact I haven't read the book contributed as I don't know which parts have been added to the story. As for the HFR I was convinced within the first 5 minutes. Everything was crystal clear as if you were looking at it through a window and there is no way realism like that can be a bad thing. No part of any set looked fake and nothing moved too quickly. My expectations were very high and I think they have even been exceeded. Cannot wait for part 2.
Even the girlfriend who had to be dragged along saying "I'm really not interested, Lord of the Rings was really not my thing" is now saying "oh man I can't believe we have to wait another year to see what happens that was so awesome."

Saw 'Django Unchained' and 'Gangster Squad' at the weekend.
Django: Not a fan of Quentin Tarantino, but it was payback for my hubbster for sitting through Les Mis with me last time.
Plenty of the usual Tarantino skewed gore, some really nasty stuff.. but I must say I really liked Don Johnston in this. Jamie Foxx was okay.. Di Caprio was good, if predictable.
Gangster Squad: I liked it visually, really captured the era I thought. Ryan Gosling was good, but Sean Penn was so OTT it was almost comical. I sat back and enjoyed the movie. Definitely better than Django (for me!)
I think maybe BBH and robbie might enjoy it.
