"The Great Gatsby" is one of my favourite books of all time. Am umming and arring about seeing the film, has had mixed reviews. Anyone who feels the same about the book, seen the film yet?

^Haven't seen it BBH. I usually go see movies in wintertime, because in spring/summer we go camping.

I try to avoid reviews before seeing a movie. If I like it I like it, and if I don't I don't.

Haven't read the book, but loved the original movie with Robert Redford  wub
I've seen the trailer for the new one and it looks visually stunning. You should go see it anyway and let us know what you think, because I know this is your time-period genre.

Glad u added word "genre" there, doll Wink
It's in 3D which I really don't like. Seems gimmicky and unnecessary to me.

After months of avoiding it, I finally watched the final Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises.

Best superhero movie I've seen, and you can't tell it's about a superhero. It's more of a thriller. Though they say this is the end of the series, there is one major bit at the end that is more than likely to have folks at DC Comics talking about a potential tie-in trilogy.

I had no interest in it despite seeing the other two in cinemas. It's fantastic though.

I think it is overrated. But that's my opinion.

Watched the full series of Omen and just the first 2 parts of The Exorcist. I don't like Exorcist, feel it is kind of silly...not heard of Salem's Lot before...I'll try downloading it if possible. Thanks for the suggestion, Caz. Smile
