So, BBC have posted moments ago an announcement of the Xmas special title. It will be called 'The Time of the Doctor', following on the trend then.

No monster has scared me, not even the Daleks. But, the 1970's Autons were freaky, when they were brought back in 2005 for Ecclestones first episode, they didn't scare me anymore.

I can't really say I've watched old Doctor Who enough to be scared of any of the monsters really. I get why the daleks might have been scary years ago, but they aren't now. I think the idea of the cybermen is more sinister than the daleks, because they are basically modified people, but I don't think they are scary as such.

The Kandyman gave me the creeps a bit, mainly because of the similarity to Bertie Bassett.

One thing from modern Doctor Who that did make me go 'ugh!' was when that bloke became an Ood right in front of us. I'd just finished eating when he started peeling the top of his head off!

Just watched the episode 'Night Terrors' with Matt Smith. Pretty good episode actually, focusing around fears and habits and how to overcome them.

A few evenings ago, I came home to the smell of take-out fish & chips and no answer from my hubbster and son when I called out to them.

Didn't take me long to find them together in the basement cave watching the Dr. Who Special. Very Happy

Orbiting a quiet backwater planet, the massed forces of the universe’s deadliest species gather, drawn to a mysterious message that echoes out to the stars. And amongst them – the Doctor. Rescuing Clara from a family Christmas dinner, the Time Lord and his best friend must learn what this enigmatic signal means for his own fate and that of the universe.

Short synopsis of 'The Time Of The Doctor'.

I hope they bring the Rani back in Doctor Who. She was a great enemy for the Doctor, but perhaps not intimidating enough for today's series.

Watched the special again today in 3D at the cinema. Was great to watch it for a 2nd time and pick up little things I missed first time around. Last week I had somehow missed Kate explaining the mind wiping machine to Clara so I didn't quite understand how the Doctors were able to wipe their minds. Also I was too busy falling off my chair thinking Eccleston was going to appear that I had missed Hurt's face clearly morphing into Eccleston's first time around.

Hurt was great and it's a shame we won't get to see any more of his Doctor. Still feels like such a shame Eccleston couldn't have agreed to one more performance but the flip side is we got a great performance from Hurt instead. Wouldn't mind a miniseries, or even a film based on the Time War.

Finally got round to watching An Adventure in Space and Time last night. Thought it was brilliant and David Bradley was wonderful as Hartnell. Glad I'd avoided spoilers until seeing at as I hadn't expected Matt Smith to pop up. Couldn't help having a few tears when Hartnell saw him and had to film his last scene.

One final bow for Matt Smith, and it looks epic.

Can't wait. Thankfully we are getting it on Boxing Day like last year. Although as I'll be away I'll probably have to wait until I get back on 3rd Jan to see it recorded. Unless my Dad waits until the 29th to watch it with me when I'm with my parents!
