oh please arka... you have the weirdest fears ever... could you do me a favor? translate "open water" into ancient greek for me? there are sites about it but i cant get it to work...

eventually blood will be obsolete in the field of medecin... besides its not the greatest thing for you to have other people's blood injected into you...

Poor David. I'm scared of the sea because you don't know what you step on and it could kill you. So I don't swim there.

I would never ever give blood because of my fear for needles and just because I don't want to. I'm going to say something most people only think and not dare to say, but I don't care about people who I don't know or who aren't my friends. I could make a whole list of people who I wouldn't mind dying. I'd give blood to people I love, not so strangers. It's not worth the pain. But I do admire people who do give blood. I wish I was that big of a person, but I'm not. And maybe that's fine.

My blood ain't good enough here.
They don't let people who are British, or have been in Britain in the last x number of years give blood for fears of Mad Cow Disease. Not sure whether I'd do it if allowed, but I don't have that choice here.

Not taking the piss. It's true. If I turned up to give blood, they wouldn't take it cos I'm British.
Why do I live here? Long story but basically, parents wanted a new start and moved here when I was 7.

I sort of understand the fear of open water. I used to be slightly scared when i was very young - i remember.

But then i started competitve swimming and there's nothing better than a never ending horizon of open sea and water.  wub
Good to swim in and looks beautiful.
