Poor David. I'm scared of the sea because you don't know what you step on and it could kill you. So I don't swim there.

I would never ever give blood because of my fear for needles and just because I don't want to. I'm going to say something most people only think and not dare to say, but I don't care about people who I don't know or who aren't my friends. I could make a whole list of people who I wouldn't mind dying. I'd give blood to people I love, not so strangers. It's not worth the pain. But I do admire people who do give blood. I wish I was that big of a person, but I'm not. And maybe that's fine.

My blood ain't good enough here.
They don't let people who are British, or have been in Britain in the last x number of years give blood for fears of Mad Cow Disease. Not sure whether I'd do it if allowed, but I don't have that choice here.

Not taking the piss. It's true. If I turned up to give blood, they wouldn't take it cos I'm British.
Why do I live here? Long story but basically, parents wanted a new start and moved here when I was 7.

I sort of understand the fear of open water. I used to be slightly scared when i was very young - i remember.

But then i started competitve swimming and there's nothing better than a never ending horizon of open sea and water.  wub
Good to swim in and looks beautiful.
