I also love the Irish elections. We had it yesterday. Counting is going on right now. Exciting.

Having more interest in politics abroad certainly does not warrant me to be accused of having a bad attitude and I find that opinion utterly ignorant and offensive.

But I accept your apology and it didn't help that I was pissed off already Smile

No worries, we've all been there.  hug

After all, it is the only show worth watching (US foreign policy affects us all)...whoever's in power here will just have to bend over and take it with a smile  w00t
Al Gore made a good point (Daily Show 24/5) when he said 'the US networks won't dare tell the truth about Iraq and 9/11 cos 50% of americans still think there's a connection, and they're scared of losing ratings, access or worse, being branded unpatriotic.'  Which means they'll swallow anything Bush tells em  nervous Rolling Eyes doh

That really pisses me off that the News channels over there often don't do their job due to hidden agendas Frown

Did anyone notice last night that Rosie O'Donnell is leaving the show "The View" on Fox. lol Fantastic! She pratically called the american troops terrorists on American television....... oops.

Rosie is nuts in the head. Even MSNBC was laughing at her yesterday.

I really think she is wacky. She makes so outragious comments that its either she is depressed or just very stupid.

Yes she's leaving early as ABC has pissed her off. She had a 9/11 special scheduled for this week but it was cancelled because Bush decided to randomly have a press conference at the same time and waffle on about how your children are not safe.

I agree with a lot of what she says and I doubt she called the troops terrorists but us being over there will make Iraqis think of us as terrorists which is understandable as we are illegally occupying the country.

Well, she said " 655,000 Iraqi civilians are dead, who are the terrorists?". I reckon she probably meant to say the Bush Administration, but because the troops themselves were the topic, it came across rather heavily that she was calling the troops terrorists. And when asked "did u just call our troops terrorists?" she could only say "did u hear me call our troops terrorists?" and she wouldn;t defend her point or say the it was the bush administration or whatever. Didn't look good. lol

I think that point is absolutely fair from her and yes she obviously means the Bush administration... most of those troops are brainwashed into thinking they are fighting a worthy enemy, they do not know outside the propaganda they are fed.

I don't particularly like her character but from all the clips I've seen, I agree with her on most.
