Niagara Falls - wow! I've been there and the thundering sound of them is amazing. Can't get my head around the idea of them frozen. That is an amazing pic!

I suppose they just have to get on with things as best they can, and obey the things they are told to do by the authorities in order to preserve their lives.  Incredibly so far only 21 deaths have been recorded, although the figure is expected to rise.

P.S. - Chicago's Lincoln Park Zoo kept its polar bear inside because, although she would have survived in the wild, she had become used to warmer conditions and so hadn't developed the layer of fat necessary to protect her from the extreme cold.

Crazy - and reminds me of a joke...

Polar bear cub says to Mum...

Mummy - Am I really a Polar Bear?

Yes - of course you're a Polar Bear...

Are you sure, Mummy?

Yes - I'm sure...

But, Mummy - am I really, really a Polar Bear?

Yes - I've told you, so why do you keep asking?

Because I'm ******* freezing!

Re. Niagara Falls. I never get tired of the Falls. A true force of nature.
We go usually twice a year because it's very close to where we live.

Here's a live-cam. They are always beautiful, day or night. They are lit up at night.

PS: The Falls are divided between the US and Canada. We got the best bit Smile

The Canadian side is deffo the most spectacular. They are like a magnet, you just stand and watch and watch and watch. Like you say, you don't tire of it. We took a helicopter trip overhead and did the Maid of the Mist.  Great memories

Thanks Linda. Smile  Lucky you being able to visit them so often.  They make our wee Scottish waterfalls look like a mere dribble!

I was once on a bus tour holiday in Scandinavia and there were loads of americans - everytime they saw a waterfall they clamoured to get off and take pics - even ones who had seen Niagara. It amused us no end, most of these water falls made Scottish dribbles look nearer Niagara. Still at least they were enthusiastic. They did have an infectious love of life.
