My poor hubbster had already shovelled our path less than an an hour before, when he left for work.
I still prefer snow over rain, tho'.
Yes......me too, unless we have to go out in the car!

Nah.. snow is for pussies. It's the freezing rain that's hellish. You might as well take your hand off the steering wheel because there's absolutely nothing you can do.

Yes.....the first day is ok, but once it's all been flattened down and then freezes overnight, it's a nightmare here. We used to have gritter lorries come round, but since the cutbacks, we haven't had any in our area.......not one! I'd think you're more used to dealing with it in your area anyway!

Pouring rain! Just glad I don't have to go out today!
Same here! Three days of rain seems to be finally over.

Having lived in Newfoundland - totally agree. You don't really know what weather is in this country!

'm sorry - but I'm above such pish. My God - I miss a hotdog on the end of George Street at the close of a boozy night. Say what you want about Newfies - great people who would put a blanket over you rather than rob you.

I love Newfies, and love their language. But dear gawd, they know how to party.
A couple of years ago, we camped in a place that was full of Newfies. We didn't actually know that until the trailer next door to us had, shall we say, a get-together that night. There must have been at least 50 people there, and about 10 folks sitting on the roof, all fiddles and beer.
I have no idea how many bottles were lying around the next morning.
Next day I went to the chippie-van (also run by Newfies) and asked for a portion of fries. She had no idea what I meant, and I couldn't think of another way of asking.. so I said "Just one, please."
She says: "So you just want d' one fry, den?"
