Oh dear. My comment was that bad?
Sorry, but I just didn't like Firefox, although I installed it because everyone kept telling me how wonderful it was.
Seriously, though, as a computer expert, you're obviously very much in favour of F/f and not a lover of IE. Why? Should I consider re-installing F/f? Maybe I didn't persevere with it for long enough having been used to IE for so long. Your advice would be very much valued.

It's unheard of someone to switch to FF and then back to IE... well until now
They're loads of reason to use FF over IE... browser add-ons, security, application efficiency with your computer's resources, more likely to render a website as it's meant to display.... etc. etc.
If you don't like FF, might be worth giving Google's Chrome a look and see if you prefer that.

Sorry for the severe shock, Mark, but I've always done things that aren't conventional, and apparently a lot of folk can't quite figure out where I'm coming from, but that's the way I am.
Yes, I'd heard FF was better security-wise, etc, but, after installing it, I felt IE was sufficient for my modest use, as I use my computer mainly for surfing the web, posting on MW, emails and playing online Scrabble. I've been using Google Chrome for ages now and like it.

OMG, woman - you're living dangerously!
I was told by my computer repair man that it was NOT a good idea to keep switching between FF and IE, which I'd been doing initially when I installed F/F. Seems using both can slow your computer down, but Mark can verify that.
Goodness, what a difference now the main reply box is working properly. Thanks again, Mark.

Your repair man must have been referring to having both browsers loaded up at the same time and then switching between them on a website to website basis. But I assume Daisy did not mean that.

I installed Firefox, it was inefficient and not very user friendly so I switched back to IE. It's not that unheard of, Firefox is over-rated by computer nerds like yourself (no offence).

How? I have Firefox and IE downloaded on my laptop. I use IE because Firefox is ****. End of.

Thanks for telling me about this. Will try it out later this evening. I found FF a bit quicker than IE, but now I've got broadband it's irrelevant. For whatever reason I just didn't take to FF.
I was the same, initially. But once I cleaned up my laptop and installed it, it's been great.

I just never quite came to terms with some of the features of FF - but maybe I should try it again.

I didn't like it at first, but I think it was just a case of getting used to something new. It is definitely more efficient, in terms of speed.
