What was I drinking last night?

There are so many songs that make me emotional and for so many reasons.
But just now it is anything by johnny Cash.
I went home for the first time in a while and found out my journeyman from my apprenticeship had died suddenly.
He was one of the greatest influences on my life and gave me my love, respect and appreciation of engineering and more importantly the people and their skills who are sadly so often overlooked and undervalued.

Everyone knows you cry when you hear a Journey song.

Touch the sky - and touch it he did.

I'm probably from a different generation from the rest of you on this thread but a real weepy for me is Otis Redding's I've been Loving you too Long. One of the best love songs ever for me and brings back memories of a certain relationship. Another which brings a lump to my throat for very different reasons is Sam Cook's A Change is Gonna Come - which is a kind of anthem of hope for the civil rights movement. And Edith Piaf's Je ne regrette rien is one of the most powerful passionate songs ever. But there are many more. Music can certainly make me feel emotional.

Just happened to be listening to this today when they marked the Christchurch earthquake last week with a 2 minute silence - I had my headphones on, so it was just me listening.
