Have to say I agree with Emma, tennis is an individual sport apart from Davis Cup and the Olympics so you support the player you like the most, at the end of the day you could have two people from the same country in a major final, or even the same family (Williams sisters) so it can't be totally about nationality but far more about the player your enjoy watching, for me the number 1 guy I want to watch is Roger for you guys it is Murray, and that is what makes like so interesting if we were all the same life would be boring!

I don't think people understand the individuality concept as at all. Our social structure is still much backdated and the tradition still plays a significant part in our life – especially in shaping our life. That’s probably because people like being comfortable and living in an environment that’s most familiar to them.

uhh no I completely understand the individuality concept.

My fav player is Andy , and Im a born and raised Canadian !!!!

I was only saying that as a tennis fan ,  when Canada has been so long without a contender in the mens game , its just surprising that a Canadian wouldnt support that player.  Not saying they have to be your favourite player

For me , its only natural , but to each their own.

^ Yeah ljs.. I waited until it started last time.  We're lucky we can get to this right on our doorstep...unlike Wimbledon and its stupid raffle. At least we get to pick and choose who we want to see, and when we want to see them.

If you did truly understand then none of you questioned it in the first place and impose your own feelings onto me.

Raonic plays a very unattractive game and there's no way in hell I am going to support that. It’s as simple as that.

If you had said that you didn't like Raonic, then I would have never questioned it unless Raonic had a beatiful game and still didn't like it, then it would be questionable as I see it. It's pretty like asking to buy an ugly painting instead of a painting by Monet simply because the former is from my country. Nonsense.
