I'm hoping I haven't shot myself in the foot and have selected the correct option .... think their website is designed to get you to sign up for things you might not want .... Rolling Eyes

Prefer to phone companies when ordering things, for that exact reason.

^ Yes, I think I'll ring them so as to be clear what the deal is.

I was just talking to a friend and apparently they have been adveritising the box and install as free ... guess they are really after the monthly payment for the HD package ....

The "online order invoice" as listed, specifically states that the SKY + HD box is free, as is the set-up.  Additionally, they say that ordering online is where the "deals" are.  Think (hope) I'm just being a scaredy-cat ....

I'm being told that they are extremely busy, and my call will be answered in 20 mins.  Not holding on that long - will try either later on, or tomorrow.

I had that when I first tried to get organised with SKY .... drove me potty ... decided not to go down that road today!

Nope ....

I read all the blurb and thought, how can this be ... no £60 to pay (at one point I thought it was £199).  So, I started completing the order, and, as each page went by, it kept telling me the box and install were free .... so I kept ploughing on, and sure enough in the Order Summary that is what it says ....

Congratulations Daisy on getting a good deal on the free HD box.  Now, I wonder what program you can use to save Andy's matches and upload them here on MW for us all to enjoy Very Happy.   Just joking.

Sorry, Daisy, just catching up on here. Because we already had Sky+ the box was free. We ordered on the phone and it was £10 per month extra and the box arrived the next day via Parcel Force. It took Os 15 minutes to install it - very simple - they said we wouldn't need any help. Wildlife programmes are fabulous and we watched the film 'Battle of Britain' which was being shown on BBC1 the other night, a film we have seen at least twice, and it was so enthralling with the air battles now in HD that we decided to record Tora,Tora, Tora today (another war film re Pearl Harbour)just to see what it looked like in HD!

We did watch on Eurosport yesterday (and not in HD) highlights from last year's final and came to the conclusion that Eurosport filming/transmission was not on a par with Sky or BBC etc. Fuzziness around the tram lines etc but non HD is excellent on this new larger screen tele anyway. Sky say Andy is playing tomorrow but we haven't got the tourney as yet on the Home Page so I couldn't check. Have to go to ATP.
