There is something that I could implement very easily as it's partly installed anyway. It would be Aces but you don't earn them automatically, you have to give and receive them from users.
So your aces would represent your popularity in the forum rather than your contribution value.

I'm not a big fan of them either but they did make sense. It rewards you based on the weight of your contribution rather than just counting it as a post. However I don't think it is that interesting and I prefer my idea above of having it as a 'karma' system.

I completely agree - that was one of my first thoughts about it so I remain unsure on the whole thing. |
