What's is the full address you are putting in your Profile for the avatar? gallery/gal/SAP Open 2006/_thb_capt.922ba7c1738547589b41d24b3620acc1.san_jose_tennis_sja113.jpg Okay, I just tested using another thumbnail from the MW gallery and it works. So... I think the filename is too long for it to work, from now on I'll rename images that are uploaded with long file names. EDIT: Renamed the image and thumbnail and now it works. thank you Mark, I was getting worried over it

murrays_mint: Your avatar image was 150 pixels in width over the recommended size. I used the thumbnail available at the MW Gallery for your profile, the source URL is: http://www.murraysworld.com/gallery/gal/Year%202005/Wimbledon%202005/_thb_1.jpgTo use a thumbnail from the MW gallery, right click the little image > Properties > copy the address.

I tried to make one smaller just to see and it is so ugly Mark, how come yours is so much better than mine? Paint is absolute crap, such a stupid programme.

If you resize it yourself to the correct size then it should look fine. Make sure the width and height is 100x100 pixels if you want it to look perfect.

I don't know how you guys do it with paint.. it's an AWFULL program. And you have to do it by hand ...and it jogs the pixles to make it look wierd. Try a programme like PhotoImpact.. or anything that came with your computer (i.e. any other program that edits images) ..go there and just type in resize into Help (if you don't know how to do it) ..then follow instructions. If you type in 100px in the width box (when it asks you to which size you would like to resize it to..) it will resize the height accordingly... If that's to confusing and you can't do it so it looks fine on paint... send the full sized photo by PM. I'll do it.. takes seconds

Avatar size is no longer an issue now - this topic is pretty much void.
