I'm afraid I hav no ideas.
It is unbelievable in a way that a USB port could muck up your comp so much.....
U sure it was compatible, but even then, it shouldn't have had that reaction...
Ummm, I'll think about it

Thanks Izzy!!! But i'm sure it is compatible.... i have been using it for the last two and a half weeks!!

Ahh, that would prove just how wrong  I am, soz!!

Oh and try holding down the ON button for 5 seconds then letting go, then pressing it to turn it on normally (once you've done the above).

Think it could have been .... i look at anything technological and it breaks!!!
Mark, the USB slot that i put the thing in appears to be ever so slightly pushed back, could this be anything?  confused

And thanks Izzy, tell your dad thanks for his help as well. I do have 30 day warrenty, or something like that..... but whether i can get there within that time is a completely different story.

I would try if I were you... Getting your money back or getting the laptop fixed is a priority! I don't think it's you Annie, people who look at things and they 'break' Wink That's just bad luck...

Ow, don't worry about that, I break that every day... When I'm watching tv and I turn around half asleep, I always knock over the remote and it falls on the floor... We had to put tape around it several times! Wink
But if you say you're cursed, I believe you, I'm cursed in saying stupid things  #-o
