Problem with having Quick Reply enabled by default is whenever you quote someone, it does it within the quick reply box instead of the post form which is a bit annoying

I don't see that as a major problem.

But if you want your quotation in a proper reply tou just close quick reply. The number of times I quote and the number of times I use quick reply makes doing that far less inconvenient than opening it every time I use Quick reply!

Now why didn't I think of that simple solution?

Yep. Hmmm, would just be better if the quote function didn't work with Quick Reply Maybe I can get someone to think up a hack for me.

No, i like using quote in quick reply for huge numbers of reasons. You can build quotations on top of each other in Quick reply for starters. Also if someone uses small font it's quicker to crack through quick reply. I often just use quick reply to quote anyway. So don't do that!

Fair enough... btw do you prefer the design of quick reply now or the original where it was more centered with info on the left?

Like it exactly the way it is! Took a little longer to get used to but I like it.

I personally sort of slightly prefer the old design even though this one makes more sense but meh
Design was something like the attached image...

Hmmm, old way looks pretty cool but i think the text info was a little unnecessary. Kinda gives this one the edge a little. I remember not liking this way when you first did it. But I see why it's better now.
BTW, have the previous/next buttons always taken you to the previous and next topic? Cause I kinda don't like that. I know you can just use the page numbers but I like when previous.next takes you to the next page of the conversation. I never use previous/next cause I like to go back to the main menu and click new to get only my unread posts.
Probably just a design of the type of forum though?

I think it's perfect as it is! I use it so much and for qouting people too. And I think this design is better than the older one. It looks neater!

Yeah, I meant for this design to look neater even though when it was more centered I think it felt better but the text was unnecessary.
And the previous/next links is standard for pretty much all forums but I never use it.
