do you know of any server hosts in america or how i can get in contact with them? i would also like to know how to get in site ads like you have here to pay for the server time and such. also do you know of any student sites or something like that, that sell things like photoshop and dreamweaver for less than 500 dollars a pop? what software did you use for this place?
To build MurraysWorld I used Macromedia DreamWeaver MX to do the very early basic structure, after that I just used it as a convenient way to work with the site code and upload/download to the web server.
For most if not all the site graphics I used Adobe Photoshop CS. I won't tell you how I obtained the software and/or whether I payed for it - you'll have to come to your own conclusions. And I don't know anything about any student discount sites that will sell the software to you as I have never looked.
Regarding American web hosts, I've only used a couple but I'd recommend
www.bethehost.com as I had a great experience with them and got to know the CEO of the company who he seems a nice guy.
The most popular way to get revenue from banner ads to fund your website is by using Google Adsense, they are used here on MurraysWorld to help pay for the server costs. Once you have a website online, you'll need to apply for an account with them online, they will evaluate your website before making a decision. It isn't hard to get accepted with Google Adsense so you should be OK.
