Not sure what you call it - but the info in the pale blue box right below Home, Profile etc, is what I'm referring to. The BBC article definitely had "Murray sacks Maclagan" and that is what was picked up for the thread ....

Oh okay .... it's called a news alert (thank you). Allan just picked it up from the BBC article, and I wasn't complaining, just making an observation. "Murray sacks Maclagan" just sounds quite savage .... of course, it's eye catching too which is undoubtedly why the BBC used it in the first place ....

I prefer harsher headlines for the reason you gave

He didn't break at 5-3 if the set finished 6-4...... He broke at 4-3 to GO 5-3 or he broke at 5-4.....

I don't think you need "still" in the title to the news article, or in the first line...personal opinion, but I think it's unnecessary...

I know, I just like the site to look professional! IMO, it should either be "Murray still to decide on coach" or "Murray to decide on coach after USO" - not both together!!

The Queen is unnecessary but she's still perched on her throne.

But she doesn't look grammatically awkward doing so...

That's something we'll agree to disagree on.

Well, we already knew that he was going to wait until after the US Open to decide on a coach. The headline arguably wouldn't have made as much sense without the "still", since we're reporting on something that had the potential to expedite the process. So despite the offers he has received, he "still" plans to wait.
I wouldn't have a problem either way, but I can see why Mark put it the way he did.
