Not much worse for my sanity, it will be days before I have those posts back and it's so bloody tedious.

BTW, I'm not posting this thread as some sort of new rule, it's always existed under this:

Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
It woudn't make sense to make a specific rule for this situation because it's unlikely to happen again for a very long time, if ever.

I'm talking hypothetically here,

If someone was to go in and edit the hell out their posts, would they be deemed untrustworthy and be put in the special section for disruptive influences once they met the required number of posts?

I don't understand the latter of your post but yes, if they were to remove the content from hundreds of their previous posts then it would be seen as vandalism.

So if someone was to become a serial editor before 5000 posts it would be highly unlikely that they would be given trusted status snakeman

If they were to vandalise this forum before or after they were given 'Trusted Status' then they risk being banned. Smile

Think Okay, so Chris (as mentioned above) has briefly become a mad old bat ....

... but removing the "delete" function completely from everyone seems a little excessive ...

... are you planning a less radical solution in the future? Like allowing only 5 deletes a day?
