Why are you bringing that up? That has nothing to do with my accusation. I just think you always try and find a way to disagree with something I have said even if there's nothing there to really disagree with. You'll make something out of nothing so we can argue over it.

BTW, you would still wonder if someone edited their post if you were replying immediately to it. I'm proposing having an edit notice if someone edits their post after a certain period of time.


I think it should be immediate. I mean, it's obvious if someone changes a post straight away for grammar anyway. If they edit it later, so what. Basically it would make my life helping with RTR A LOT easier. I've posted 4 times with the scores for a day before I got it 100% correct with all the colours and font etc. Not to mention the scores themselves. lol

It's not like you are seeing what it was before they edited anyway. It's not a big deal to have it displayed is it. I don't believe it affects any area of the forum at all in the sliightest and I think most people will be of the view it doesn't actually matter. However, it WILL improve the running of RTR if edit functions are introduced.

If you're going to post up scores then just take extra care, use the 'Preview' button until you have got it right. But the majority of posts on this forum can be done in a fairly careless manner which is why an immediate edit notice would be everywhere you look!

Yes, but is it not only a small time display in the bottom corner saying "Last Edited at : 00:00:00"  Hardly a big deal. Not to mention the fact, that like you a lot of the time, I just click Post lol

Not to mention the fact you said it would help when people changed the main content.

P.S. I can't get a link to the protennis livescore page. It runs from the ATP website via javascript and not a direct link, so I don't know how to copy it across.....

P.P.S. Liking the addition to "The Team" lol

But I don't do it constantly, I do it on occasion when I re-read someones post and then suddenly it hits me that I misunderstood it. A recent example is within the last few minutes where I thought you were making an accusation at me, as I have come to expect this from you constantly now, but I re-read your post and realised it was not.

Although, I realised last night we can still do that now by setting the edit grace period to a very high number.

You've got to load up the livescore page and then, using Firefox, right click on the non-flash part of the page (usually right on the edges) and click 'View Page Info', you then copy the URL from there.

I did something slightly different. The page address gets saved in my history despite not being displayed, so I just clicked on the address bar and typed in "pro " and it came up. Smile

I prefer linking for MW directly anyway, because it opens up in a tab in the same browser and not a new window! Very Happy

Out of interest, presumably this is something Mark's going to do regardless of how anyone votes and/or thinks in the Sangocracy which is MW?

Who suggested we needed the change anyway?
And in which particular fantasy universe does Neil think it'll change the way RTR's run?

Personally, every time I see an edited post by Mark in future I'll be wondering what it originally said ...

I have already explained why the results of that unofficial poll did not affect the decision of the staff and there were two very valid reasons.

This poll is posted by ME and the outcome of the poll will decide on what happens although I will decide on the edit grace period if there will be one.
