I thought there was agreement that we wouldn't have signatures on the new board.  I know they are not as big as those you see on mtf but they are creeping in more and more and I still think they are annoying - and irrelevant.  This new board already has lots more jargon surrounding our names, looks really cluttered without having signatures as well.  Will you be keeping the reply numbers to each topic Mark, that seems a waste of time too.  Especially as it has the hash sign for number, far too americanised for our needs!  (no offence david!)
Lots of other things on the new board are good, just these niggles stand out to me as not so good.....

Viewing of member's signatures should be disabled by default - so I don't understand why you have mentioned this.

And with the replies, are you talking about the bolded text above each post within a topic?

As with the old board, you COULD if you wanted put stuff in your signature but it woudn't show for people under your posts.

With this new board, you can still use a signature but members won't be able to see it unless they decide to go into their Profile options and enabling it.

Are you telling me you can see signatures below posts?

Yes, david has two.  Other people are quoting from coldplay and stuff.  Plenty of signatures.

Yes the bolded number above the reply is what I mean.  That wasn't there before either.s

Viewing of signatures in posts are disabled - I just forced it into everyone's profiles now to make sure.

Have  a look around now, still seeing signatures?

Should be ok now Josh...

You were able to disable it yourself in your profile but thanks for telling me because the option was meant to be set for everyone and it clearly wasn't.

Hadn't gone into the profile to see if i could do that.  Anyway those that I could remember seem to have gone now.  Thanks, I just think it makes the boards look better - and clearer to read - without them goodjob

It's not a problem now the viewing of signatures has been disabled by default.

But rochelle, at the time of the message you may of had a signature in your profile, not that it matters.
