Josh asked what are some of the news features with SMF, here are a few that came to mind:

    One of my favourite features is the use of AJAX technology. So everytime you make a post the current page automatically updates without you having to go back to the topic for it to be refreshed - this will be good for match updates.

    Avatars are resized without any flickering so now you can choose whatever size image you want.

    For me being an admin there are tones of new functions it's a bit overwhelming, also I can customise the look of everything much easier.

    I can now more effectively implement the forum with the main MW website. This means there will soon be a shout box that directly interacts with the message board so if need be, only registered members can shout which would stop name hijacking.

    SMF is also VERY secure and the chances of the board getting hacked is significantly reduced.

    For you rich people out there, you will be able to view the forum with your WAP enabled phone - you can't escape MW anywhere!

Oh my, I feel stupid now. You are completly right Dentie, the personal text is indeed showing below your avatar with every post. As you can tell, I'm also new to the features/functions - anyway I'm glad it works.

Yes it is, there is no turning back.

It isn't finished so please don't worry about the look, I'm not happy with it yet.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the new message board had to be implemented prematurely - please understand it is still in the development stages and the look and feel is not final.

Need help with a new feature? Don't like something? Then please post your questions/comments here.
