I too am having problems. I am usually permanently logged on but am  now asked to register or submit my username/password every time I want to join the forum. Now I know others are having problems too and that Mark is trying to solve them I will just comply with patience and hope he manages to solve the problem. Good Luck Mark!!

I'm currently talking to the House MD of the server admin industry to see if I can hire him for this.

And I've just been forced out again when I accessed this thread from my emails. Frown   It's really strange because before this I'd got onto a couple of other threads and my PMs, also from my emails, with no problem.  Maybe this might be the last time though ...

To make matters worse, ever since I ran CCleaner I'm getting logged out of my emails and I'm usually permanently logged in.  This has happened in the past, and so I expect it - but only have to do it once and not every single time.  I've tried reinstating all the Google-related cookies but it still doesn't work. #confused
Still having the same problem with Google, and can't get my iGoogle homepage back either, so will investigate this further myself.  Meanwhile the problem with MW is the same as it was before - OK for a bit then I find I'm logged out.

I do hope that you manage to get this resolved soon for your own sake.

I'm still making changes so I'm always in hope Smile

You might want to logout and login again though as I've made it so login status is not stored in the database and you never know, that might fix it. Or just leave it until the next time you get forced out Smile

Thanks! It's still recognising me today so here's hoping. yay

No point hoping I'm afraid. It will happen but baffling how some people get it so much worse than others.

The mind doubts, but the heart never does.

Could that be down to which browser they're using?

We're both on Chrome and yet you get logged out much more than me. So I'm assuming not.

I've hired the guy to do the work on Thursday involving everything in the server being reconfigured and the logout issue being fixed. I'll let you all know when it's done.

Do you have to pay this guy? Or does it come with the new server change?

Well, I didn't get a chance to login this weekend so I have no idea if the problem still exists for me. I do use IE (8.0) at work and Firefox (18.0) at home.

Is the new server stable? I mean if it allows certain configurations/settings/tasks etc., then why should it create any problems unless the server itself does not support some of it in reality?

He is the guy everyone goes to when a very complex server issue needs fixing, so you bet I've got to pay.

These issues are entirely my fault and has nothing to do with the new provider we're on. Rather than using existing templates, this was the first time I've created a server from scratch as to achieve various goals such as real-time resource changing. It seems I didn't do a very good job of configuring it all.

Presumably it means that MW will be down for a while?
