FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Where can I look through the forum rules again?
You can find the rules with the terms and conditions of this forum here.

Does Andy Murray ever browse MurraysWorld.com?
Yes, and he also considers it his favourite out of the other websites about him (at the time of writing).

How do I get an avatar (picture) above my name?

Image from computer: Profile > Personal Information > Check 'Image from my computer' > Click 'Browse' > Find your image file > Go to bottom of page and click 'Change profile'

Image from Internet: First find the image on the Internet > Then right click the image > Left click Properties > Select and drag the text from the URL section and copy it. That URL will need to end with .jpg or .gif or .png to work as your avatar > Once you have copied the full URL address, go to your Profile and paste that address in the 'Link to off-site Avatar' text area > Click 'Change' at the bottom of the page and you're done.

Animations only work if they are no bigger than 100x100 otherwise they are turned into a static image. There is also a filezile limit for animations, please keep the running time minimal.

Why do people have words like "Semi-Pro" above their name?
These are called ranks, the more posts you make on this forum, the better your rank.

What is a 'sticky' topic?
A sticky topic is a normal topic that has been deemed important for the community to see. Therefore, that topic will appear above all normal topics regardless of whether it has any new replies.

Oh no! I've made a spelling mistake and already posted, now what?
Once you have posted you can fully edit your post by viewing it then clicking 'Edit' at the top right of the post.

How do I embed YouTube videos into my posts?
You just post the web address of the YouTube and let the forum do the rest of the work for you.

What is a Moderator?
A moderator is assigned by the administrator in order to monitor and ensure the terms and conditions of the forum are maintained by all users who participate. The moderator is able to control some specific forum functions; for example, they can delete posts, create sticky posts and lock topics.

Can administrators and moderators read my personal messages?
There is no forum function for an admin or moderator to read other people's personal messages. There are also no third party modifications that offer such a feature.

Please be aware that unlike passwords, personal messages are not encrypted. Therefore, we recommend you do not send sensitive information via personal messages as we cannot guarantee the security of its content.

I don't like something about the site and/or I have a suggestion, what do I do?
If you have any ideas how MurraysWorld can improve, your suggestions and criticisms are very much appreciated. Please go to this thread and share your thoughts or you can do it anonymously via our contact form.

(If your question is not answered here, feel free to ask by replying to this topic.)

hey this is a bit of an irrelevant and pointless question but how many posts do you need to make to get certain ranks?

I don't like the idea of telling people that, its more fun as a suprise but you can ask people when they got their ranks.

UPDATE:

- Layout on front page changed.

- Banner design changed for Christmas.

Can I have some feedback with the layout changes please?

(Make sure you do Ctrl+F5 on the front page, as you should do whenever I make any layout changes.)

it is a smidgin early for christmas isnt it? you could probably get away withj christmas banners and stuff in december but personally, novembers early. takes the whole appeal of crimbo away if you start hyping about it too early.
loving the graphics though. the santas hat is well cute.
