What are DDOS attacks?  And why would MW be targeted - or is it just a random thing?

It's when you flood the server with requests. And I'm not sure why we would be targeted.

It doesn't appear to have been an attack but something else which has yet to be completely identified.

Some work is going to be done to the server from this moment onwards, so expect lag and timeouts. I don't have an estimated duration.

It's been completed now.

I can't say for certain the root of the problem yesterday but there were a couple of theories and the work that went ahead earlier was taking action based on that.

Let's see how it goes. Keep me updated with any issues. Smile

Mark.. couldn't get MW for the past 25 mins or so. Kept saying DNS server or summit. Don't know how to take a screen shot, duh.
Found something else to do instead.. Very Happy
