And I started getting emails! I think I've stopped them now by changing settings to receive no emails.
That's a strange one. Perhaps a database glitch reset the profile setting for you.

Thanks for letting me know. There is a bit of code email providers check to see if an email is really from where it is saying it is from. This has been updated to reflect the new IP of the server. But it may take a while for email providers to see that change.
So until then, you may get emails going to spam or with some providers not being accepted at all.
Can you check your spam? And are we talking about Hotmail here?
Yeah hot mail, nothing in spam either

I looked at your profile and it seems they are set correctly. I will do a Hotmail test myself and see if the spam verification code is the issue.

It's the verification code - Hotmail haven't updated their records yet: Authentication-Results: hotmail.com; spf=softfail (sender IP is 96.8.123.122) smtp.mailfrom=[email protected]; dkim=none header.d=murraysworld.com; x-hmca=fail Where as Gmail, for example, have already updated their records: Received-SPF: pass (google.com: domain of [email protected] designates 96.8.123.122 as permitted sender) client-ip=96.8.123.122; So it's just a waiting game with Hotmail. I would be surprised if they don't update their records within 24 hours.

Well, doesn't matter how much I planned, I couldn't emulate traffic hitting the website.
The server ran into a problem with a process hanging which brought down the server. This caused downtime between 5:00-5:30. I hope you can understand this server has been recreated from scratch, almost everything is different.
I'm having this investigated now to prevent this happening again.
I thought the downtime might be due to the new set-up. Thanks though for explaining things so clearly - at least as far as I need to understand them.

Just letting you all know, expect the server to go down at around 9PM. I'm currently looking at what exactly caused the crash and I believe it's a scheduled task which is done every 4 hours. I need to leave it to run one more time while monitoring.

Ah, now that explains why all my emails were suddenly in my junk mail box today - also hotmail. Do feel quite offended on our behalf how suspicious hotmail is about the emails, all red alerts and 'this looks highly suspicious'. They don't know what they're missing!
