- Added support to embed YouTube videos. Find button in the post form and enter the video ID which is the bit at the end of the URL. (URL: http://youtube.com/watch?v=WFV8Hfwh2Uw | VideoID: WFV8Hfwh2Uw) I'm considering having a Video sub-forum in Chit Chat to discuss videos but only would do this if it is a popular idea? |

 Great idea!! I'm considering having a Video sub-forum in Chit Chat to discuss videos but only would do this if it is a popular idea?
Just videos? Maybe just media in general including music?

Only YouTube and if there was demand I could also add Google Video but I don't think any other places would be plausable at the moment.
I could allow people to embed any Flash video/audio but that is an added security risk.

YouTube support is crap!  When people posted youtube things as links, I used to click on 'em. Now they have them in posts, I can't be bothered watching, I just scroll past them. |

Actually Cate just explained your point and it really doesn't make much sense - there really arent any negatives with embedding YouTube.
At least you get a better idea of what the video is about with the caption so I think it's much better for grumpy people like you.
