I hope they reach the 3rd round but due to my Indian backgorund i hope Bhupathi/Knowles win that section  Funny really i dont quite know why Jamie didnt click with Mirnyi maybe they were too similar. I think Jamie does the net side of things very well but he needs someone with good groundstrokes like Booty had a good backhand or Jankovic as a perfect example. |

I'd be fine with them going out to Bhupathi/Knowles as long as they don't beat Jamie/Booty by more than a break in each set.

Jamie and Booty lost 6-4 6-4.  Brief summary of the match from AM.com member Stuart Fraser. The match was played in really windy conditions and Jamie was struggling with his serve due to this. On the other hand, Robredo & Lapentti were coming up with some huge serving and thoroughly deserved the victory. So stuffy here in Melbourne today BTW! Its a shame beacuse mixed doubles dont cont towards ranking points but he really NEEDS some wins more than ever. I hope he doesnt get exposed as very ordinary because i think he's better than that. One question, Why dont Ross/Jamie play together more often?? |

It could be one of two reasons for me or perhaps both: - Jamie feels he is better than Ross and wants to kick onto the top 10. -As allan said maybe they both play on the same side. |
